Environmentally friendly & sustainable Ferrite magnets are mad from iron oxide and strontium which are abundant materials. Rare earth mining is more demanding and heavy on the enviorment.
Stable performance at high temperatures Ferrite magnets are more resistant to demagnetization at high temperatures.
Higher efficiency in high-frequency applications Lower conductivity of ferrite magnets reduces eddy current losses, improving motor efficiency in high-frequency applications.
Size Motors with ferrite magnets have a lower energy density than neodymium magnets. Hence the electric motor size for same power output is 1-2 sizes bigger.
In case your application requires smaller size and high power density electric motors with rare earth magnets are a better choice than electric motors with ferrite magnets. If you need a smaller size of motor with higher power density we would recommend innomotics rare-earth magnet motors.
