Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
1. Who we are
This website, ekmo.eu (the “Site”), is operated by EKMO d.o.o. (“EKMO”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Slovenia. EKMO is the data controller for personal data processed through this Site. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@ekmo.eu.
2. What data we collect
Data you provide. When you submit the contact form we collect your name, work email, company, and the content of your message, so we can respond to your enquiry.
Data collected automatically (only with your consent). If you accept cookies, we and our providers collect information such as pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, approximate location, device and browser type, referring source, and — via IP address — the organisation you may be associated with.
3. Cookies and consent
We do not set analytics, session-recording, or visitor-identification cookies until you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. You can decline, and the Site will function normally. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this Site’s cookies and local storage in your browser, which will make the banner appear again.
4. Analytics and third-party processors
With your consent, we use the following services, each acting as a processor or joint controller:
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) — aggregate traffic and usage statistics.
PostHog (EU-hosted) — product/behaviour analytics and session recording used to understand how visitors navigate the Site so we can improve it. Session recordings mask text inputs by default; we do not intend to capture the content you type into fields.
Apollo — IP-based company identification, which infers the organisation a visitor may belong to from their IP address for business-to-business marketing purposes. This does not identify you personally.
Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly, aggregate performance metrics that do not use cookies.
These providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; where they do, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. Legal bases (GDPR Article 6)
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for analytics, session recording, and company identification. Legitimate interests / pre-contract steps (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f)) — for responding to enquiries you send us and for basic security and operation of the Site.
6. How long we keep data
Enquiry data is retained for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship. Analytics and session data are retained according to each provider’s default retention period, after which they are aggregated or deleted.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email info@ekmo.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec) or your local supervisory authority.
8. Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
